Using MILE Resources

Step 1: Review the MILE Resource Guide

Read through the MILE Resource Guide. If you don’t have a lot of time, skim through the information so you have a better idea of what MILE is all about and the types of MILE resources available to you.

Step 2: Use the Math Observation Assessment Tool

Open the Math Observation Assessment Tool, and check off any concepts you know or suspect your child(ren) is/are struggling with.

Step 3: Check General (or) Specific Suggestions

Refer to the specific (or) general suggestions for remediation in the top right corner of the Math Observation Assessment Tool. Choose the concept from Step 2 to find appropriate activity.

Step 4: Find and Use the At-Home Activity Pages

Select activities based on the concept areas identified in the Math Observation Assessment Tool and work through them with your child.

Step 5: Use Classroom Activity Pages for Further Support

If needed, use corresponding Classroom Activity Pages to provide additional practice on specific concepts.

Step 6: Access Graphing Pages

Use the Graphing Pages for activities that require them.
